How we plan to develop our vision
We will develop connectedness and relationships with
others through:
Our Virtues programme, our healthy relationships
topics, the Kiwi Can programme, our Anti-bullying
approach to behavior modification. Participation in
sporting events which will highlight participation,
fair play and good sportsmanship and through
parental support of the above programmes and the
school’s disciplinary framework.
We will develop confidence, thinking skills and
using language symbols and texts through:
Teaching higher level thinking skills using Thinking
Hats, Blooms Taxonomy, Thinkers Keys and our Inquiry
based learning model. The children will be taught to
research, compare and apply knowledge.
We will develop managing self skills through:
Goal setting, teaching that focuses on learning
intentions and the achievement of them, children
monitoring their own progress, our Virtues programme
and our reward and discipline systems. |
